Android Integration
Sync PepTalk Peptides with Google Health Connect
On Android, PepTalk Peptides talks to Google Health Connect — the OS-level data store that replaced Google Fit. Every wearable that contributes to Health Connect (Wear OS, Fitbit, Samsung Health, Garmin, smart scales) lights up automatically. Bidirectional, per-category opt-in.
What flows IN — Health Connect → PepTalk Peptides
When you grant a category, PepTalk Peptides reads the corresponding data type and surfaces it in the relevant tab (Dashboard, Workouts, Nutrition, Journal, or the women's/men's health hubs).

Connect Health Connect to PepTalk Peptides
- Ensure Health Connect is installed. On Android 14+, it ships with the OS. On Android 9-13, install Health Connect from the Play Store first.
- Install PepTalk Peptides from Google Play.
- Open PepTalk Peptides and complete onboarding.
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Health Connect and tap Connect.
- Android shows a Health Connect permission screen with each category as a toggle. Pick what you want PepTalk Peptides to read and write.
- PepTalk Peptides does an initial sync, then keeps up automatically in the background.
To change permissions later: Android Settings → Apps → Health Connect → Permissions → PepTalk Peptides. Grant or revoke any category without uninstalling the app.
Privacy
Health Connect data is processed on-device first. It is transmitted to PepTalk Peptides servers only if you have explicitly enabled cloud sync for your account — otherwise it stays local and disappears when you uninstall.
PepTalk Peptides does not share Health Connect data with advertisers and does not sell user data. The full data-flow disclosure lives in the privacy policy, and the per-category Android permissions are enumerated at the health data disclosure page.

Frequently asked questions
What is Google Health Connect?+
Health Connect is Android's modern centralized data store for fitness and health data, introduced by Google in 2022 and made the standard in 2024. It replaces the older Google Fit Sync framework (Google Fit was deprecated in 2025-2026). Apps like PepTalk Peptides read/write through Health Connect rather than each phone vendor's proprietary store.
Do I need to install a separate Health Connect app?+
On Android 14 and later, Health Connect is part of the OS — no extra install. On Android 9-13, install Health Connect from the Play Store first; then PepTalk Peptides can talk to it.
Does PepTalk Peptides read all my Health Connect data automatically?+
No. Each category is opt-in. Android shows a permission dialog when PepTalk Peptides first asks for a data type, and you can revoke any category in Settings → Apps → Health Connect → Data and access at any time.
Does the integration send Health Connect data to PepTalk Peptides's servers?+
Health Connect data is read on-device. It is transmitted to PepTalk Peptides servers only if you have enabled cloud sync for your PepTalk Peptides account; otherwise it stays local.
Can I sync from a Wear OS watch or Fitbit?+
Yes, indirectly. Wear OS watches, Fitbit (post-Google acquisition), Samsung Health, Garmin Connect, and most major Android fitness platforms write to Health Connect. PepTalk Peptides reads what is in Health Connect — so any device that contributes to it works.
Will PepTalk Peptides overwrite existing Health Connect entries?+
No. PepTalk Peptides writes only the entries it owns (check-ins, in-app weight logs, exercise sessions logged inside PepTalk Peptides). It cannot modify or delete records contributed by other apps.
What about Google Fit?+
Google Fit was deprecated; the modern integration path is Health Connect. PepTalk Peptides does not sync with the legacy Google Fit API.
Does Aimee see my Health Connect data?+
Aimee can reference categories you have explicitly synced — sleep, HRV-equivalent recovery markers, weight, steps. She does not interpret it medically. See the Aimee page for the full scope.
I revoked permission. Will old data disappear?+
Data already pulled into PepTalk Peptides before revocation stays in your PepTalk Peptides journal until you delete the account. Nothing new is read after revocation.
Can I export my Health Connect data from PepTalk Peptides?+
Yes — the data-rights page documents the request flow. The export includes everything synced from Health Connect alongside everything entered directly.
