Health Data Disclosure

At a glance
PepTalk Peptides lets you log meals, workouts, daily check-ins, peptide protocols, and journal entries. With your permission, it can also read certain metrics from Apple HealthKit (on iPhone and Apple Watch) or Android Health Connect, and write back a small set of values you enter in PepTalk Peptides so they show up in those system health apps.
You control every permission. Nothing is read or written until you explicitly grant access in the OS health permission sheet.
What we read from Apple HealthKit
When you tap Connect Apple Health in PepTalk Peptides, iOS presents a permission sheet listing each metric. We request read access to the following:
- Steps
- Body weight
- Heart rate
- Resting heart rate
- Heart rate variability (HRV)
- VO₂ max
- Oxygen saturation (SpO₂)
- Respiratory rate
- Sleep stages
- Active energy burned
- Menstrual flow (cycle tracking, if you enable it)
- Cervical mucus quality (cycle tracking, if you enable it)
- Ovulation test results (cycle tracking, if you enable it)
- Intermenstrual bleeding (cycle tracking, if you enable it)
- Contraceptive entries (cycle tracking, if you enable it)
You can deny any single metric without breaking the rest of the app. Connected metrics power your dashboard, weekly health reports, and recovery indicators.
What we write to Apple HealthKit
When you enter the following in PepTalk Peptides, we offer to mirror it into HealthKit so it appears in the iOS Health app:
- Daily check-in markers — mood, energy, sleep quality
- Body weight that you log manually
- Mindful minutes — if you log meditation in the journal
We do not write any other data category to HealthKit. Workouts, meals, journal entries, and peptide log records stay inside PepTalk Peptides.
What we read from Android Health Connect
On Android, PepTalk Peptides requests read access to: Steps, Sleep, Heart Rate, Active Calories Burned, Total Calories Burned, Body Weight, and Body Fat. The Health Connect permission sheet lists each request individually before granting access. You can revoke any permission anytime in Settings → Health Connect → Apps.
Where your health data lives
Health data we read from HealthKit or Health Connect is processed inside the PepTalk Peptides app on your device. A summary — only the values you have explicitly chosen to track on your dashboard — is sent to our backend (Supabase, AWS US region, encrypted in transit and at rest) so you can see the same data across devices and so we can generate your weekly Health Report on PepTalk Peptides Pro.
Row-level security on the backend ensures only your account can read your records. We do not aggregate, sell, or share your health data with advertisers, data brokers, or insurance companies.
What we never do
- We do not use your HealthKit / Health Connect data to serve ads.
- We do not share your health data with advertising networks, data brokers, or insurance companies.
- We do not use your health data to train AI models. Aimee's language model does not retain your personal health data after each session; data sent for AI inference is described in our Privacy Policy.
- We do not access HealthKit or Health Connect categories that are not listed on this page.
How to revoke permission
- iOS:Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → PepTalk Peptides → toggle each category off, or tap Turn Off All.
- Android: Settings → Health Connect → App permissions → PepTalk Peptides → revoke any category.
Revoking permission stops PepTalk Peptides from reading or writing that category going forward. Data already cached on our servers remains tied to your account until you delete it; see Account Deletion to remove it.
Not a medical device
PepTalk Peptides is an educational and tracking tool. Health metrics displayed inside PepTalk Peptides are pulled from Apple HealthKit and Android Health Connect for your own reference. PepTalk Peptides does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe — for medical decisions consult a licensed healthcare provider.
